Story Time

"Ms. Haruna, this can't be my test" Serena said holding up a test with a big fat A+ on it. "Serena you and your classmates did very good on this test besides I'm so happy I'm going to finally go on a date, in honor of this I'm going to let you out two hours early Class Dismissed ". Serena and the others started filing out the door happily. Serena started walking home when she heard someone scream "Help me, someone help me" screamed a stranger. "Relax, come over to our side. You can have power, I know you want it. I can sense it," said the negaverse general.

Sailor Moon kicked the negaverse general from behind. The general's victim took this distraction and ran away. "Who are you and what do you want" replied Sailor Moon. "They call me Ayja. This is of none of your concern. Leave while you have the chance" with that she lashed out at Sailor Moon. Ayja was female negaverse general with long blond hair and wore a short black dress.

A stream of negative energy came rushing towards Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon had barely dodged that attack when Ayja sent another attack, this time it had hit Sailor Moon and she got blasted into a brick wall, if it wasn't for her determination she wouldn't of gotten up. Sailor Moon then tried to use her communicator to contact the other scouts when it was snatched out of her hand. "I'll take that," said Ayja while she snatched the communicator from hands of Sailor Moon. Ayja dropped it on the floor then crushed it under her feet destroying it. "Now for you" Ayja said with a malicious glance.

Sailor Moon was unprepared the attack and was smashed into a big Dumpster. Sailor Moon was barely able to stay conscious, when she looked up and saw what definitely looked like a sailor scout in a green, silver and black fuku. That was the last thing she saw before she fell unconscious.

Ayja looked at the floor before her and saw a shadow. She looked to find the source and she traced it to a sailor scout (that looked a lot like Sailor Jupiter). The Sailor Scout was atop a building and her Sailor fuku was waving wildly in the wind. "Who are you?" asked Ayja. "I am Sailor Emerald, Senshi of Light and Hope. Protector of Jupiter's moons. In the name of all that is good I will see you punished for injuring Sailor Moon" Screamed Sailor Emerald. "Yeah and what are you going to do about it hurt me" her voice replied sarcastically. Ayja jumped atop the building to get closer to Sailor Emerald.

The trident went spinning in a complete circle like a windmill but very fast until it has gathered enough positive energy then the energy fired at the Ayja. Their canceled each other out. She opened a portal and stepped half way into it. "I believe that was a draw. Next time you won't be so lucky " said Ayja, who walked through the portal.

Suddenly Sailor Emerald spun around and there was a strange green, three tailed fox. "Did I come to late?" it said. "No you are right on time," Emerald said after she gave Mystic a hug. "I will find that Imperial crystal to finally cure you," Sailor Emerald said.

Serena woke up and started limping towards Lita's apartment (it was the closest). Serena took the elevator to Lita's floor and pushed the doorbell to the apartment. When Lita opened the door, she found Serena lying in a heap on the floor. Lita brought Serena inside and placed her on a sofa. "Do you want anything, Tea, Cookies?" Lita asked. Serena did not answer so Lita went to the kitchen and began preparing water for tea and dough for cookies. Serena still lay on the couch unmoving.

"Master I have failed you" said Ayja bowing to something or someone in the shadows. "I grow weary of this. Find me the Imperial silver crystal or I shall throw you into the deepest crevice on this back water planet!" the dark figure screamed. Ayja bowed and teleported away to chose the next youma.

"Ouch, that hurts!" screamed Serena. "Well it's gonna hurt if you don't keep still." Lita put ointment on Serena's cuts. "Who did this to you?" asked Lita still struggling with her patient. "This negaverse creep named Ayja, she knocked me so hard I blacked out" Serena winced. "I think we need an emergency scout meeting," said Lita. "Yeah whatever" said Serena and she fell asleep.

When Serena woke up the rest of the scouts and the cats (Luna and Artimis) surrounded her. Darien was kneeling down at her side. "Serena I was worried I thought you would never wake up," Darien said. "Serena what happened?" asked the concerned Rei. "I ...I... I was...I don't know for some reason I can't remember much except for a Sailor Scout and Ayja" said Serena. "How did this Scout look like and who is Ayja?" asked Mina. "The scout looked kind of like Sailor Jupiter but there was a strange aura of around her and Ayja was another Negaverse creep" said Serena. "We still can't say that this scout is not on the Negaverse's side," said Artimis.

"Serena you are going to be late again, didn't Ms. Haruna say she was going to give you a detention if you were late again!" asked Luna. "I'm coming, I'm coming just let me get my backpack" Serena said getting her backpack off the table and running out the door. "Wait Luna, today is Saturday and we have to get to the scout meeting" said Serena. "Oh my I completely forgot," said Luna. Serena started laughing, "You, the great Luna forgot something, oh no that means the world is going to end" teased Serena. "It will if we don't get to this meeting on time the others are going to have a fit... again," said Luna. "Oh no it's 12:00" said Serena looking at her watch. "Step on it!" said Luna.

Suddenly Serena started running faster then anyone has ever seen her. Luna was having a hard time keeping up with Serena. Suddenly Serena stopped dead in her tracks and since Luna was running fast behind Serena and crashed in to her leg hard, knocking her down. Serena fell face first into some grass, when Serena looked up she saw a girl that looked familiar. Luna was getting some strange vibes from this mysterious girl.

"Thank you again for helping me" said Serena as she started to feel more at ease with Athene. "Haven't I seen you before? Wait aren't you the new transfer student from the U.S.?" Serena inquired. "Yeah, T.A. is a nice school" Athene said. She was getting some weird energy from that girl. "Well.... I have to go home and help mother with the... groceries" Athene quickly lied and cringed on the inside for being so obvious. Athene felt a furry body pressing against her leg and jumped. "It's only a cat" Athene whispered and let out a small sigh of relief. Serena picked up Luna. "What a cute cat" Athena scratched her behind the ears. "Well I had better get going" Athene said as she jogged away. "I'll see you at school on Monday" Serena yelled after her.

When the girl was out of distance, Serena conferred with her cat. "I think that that new girl Athene has something to do with the negaverse" The cat named Luna said. "Well, I think you're right. We need someone to follow her. Preferably a small black cat named Luna" Serena said. "What, but what if she's with the negaverse?" Luna asked. "All your gonna do is see where she goes and come back. If your quiet then she won't see you" Serena gave Luna her puppy dog eyes. "Alright" Luna said jumping down. She disappeared like a small black bundle of energy in the direction where Athene had went to, cursing under her breath.

Athene felt somebody following her. She formed ancient rune marks in her head and with her hands. If somebody saw her, they would see some girl doing strange sign language. Moments later she finished her spell of Binding. "Who or what ever has been following me should be frozen in their tracks" Athene thought. She backtracked in her steps, unafraid. She searched for the human who was following her and found none. Instead, she saw the black cat from earlier. "Awww.... Poor kitty cat" Athene said. She picked up the black cat with one hand and with the other, she formed the marks of undoing the binding spell. "I thought you were somebody, or something else. Well we have to find your owner. I need to go home and get something first" Athene said talking to the cat absent-mindedly.

She examined the cat. Luna said nothing and tried to appear to be a normal cat. "What's that mark on your head?" Athene recognized it as a crescent moon. "Well... no matter, let's get you home". She formed the marks of the transport spell. Moments later, They disappeared.

Athene and Luna appeared in a large apartment. It was painted white recently but all of the furniture was black. Athene put Luna on a recliner. "Mystic, come out. Look Who I brought for you" Athena called out. Out from the shadows came a strange looking creature. Luna was scared out of her wits. "At least I know she's not evil," Luna thought. The creature looked like a fox but was light green had three tails, large black eyes, and a strange dark green mark on his fore head. Rather like an upside down `V' with a small dot in the center of it. "Well, well, well, so you do remember where you live" Mystic chastised Athene. "I've got to find her owner. That mark on her forehead seems familiar...."Athene reminisced and quickly snapped out of it. "Well love, we've got to get her back. Watch her, her owner has been giving off some weird vibe. I've got to go to the back room to do some serious magic, a spell of finding" Athena said disappearing. She left Mystic staring down the cat called Luna. Luna made a run for the door. "Don't even think of it" Mystic said.

Athene reappeared in a pitch-dark room. Athene picked up a piece of chalk and drew a large circle on the floor. The chalk glowed a neon green color but did not fade. The circle was so that no magic seeped out. She put the piece of chalk in the center of the circle. Athene did a small spell that opened a pocket in space. She put her hand through it and brought out a green trident that was nearly as tall as she was. She closed the pocket. Athene grabbed the trident by its center and walked into the middle of the circle, right in front of the piece of chalk. She did two spells. One made the piece of chalk float as high as her knee. The other made a book come out of thin air and float in front of her. The book was all leather and embedded with emeralds and inlaid with Silver was the title of the book, The Book of Enchantments.

Athene opened the book and said aloud "I need a spell for searching". The pages flipped rapidly then stopped at on page, at the top of the page in bold letters said "Search". There was a spell, on it that Athene read aloud changing it to fit her needs. "Oh Kingdoms above the stars. I char thy power. Show me thy nature, thy master. What was lost now is found!" Athene yelled. The piece of chalk floated higher and wrote in midair "Five miles north, temple". Athene read it aloud then it faded. She did some small spells to put everything in its rightful place and reappeared in the room where Mystic was. She staggered slightly for the spells drained her somewhat.

"Thanks for watching Luna. I have to return her to some temple. Would you like to come?" Athene asked Mystic. "You know I can't, not like this" Mystic said grimly. "I know a temporary enchantment that might work. I just found it when the pages flipped. Let me get a cage for the cat, I have a feeling that it can understand us" Athene said happily. Athene made a few gestures with her had and a box covered Luna. She also summoned the piece of chalk, her trident and the book of enchantments from next door. Athene drew the circle again. Mystic and she stood at the center of the circle. The spell book opened to a page that said 'Shape Shifting'. Athene read the words aloud " Hope lives on in this rhyme. Give him body for a time. Bind him now to his former state. With powers I remake" Athene shouted. The spell was complete. Athene erased the circle, put the trident, and book in a pocket of space. She tried her best to suppress the urge to faint. She weakly turned to Mystic. He was remained the same. "Mystic Shape Shift". Athene said weakly before she fainted.

Mystic did as he was told and yelled "Mystic Shape Shift". A bright light flashed and Mystic appeared. A young man (age 18), although he was naked. Mystic formed some symbols with mind and hand. He appeared fully clothed in baggy denim jeans and a white shirt that hanged loosely out of his jeans. He was a little over six feet tall. He looked some what like Darien. Except he had brown hair and green eyes. An evil witch trapped him in that form. Only on the day that the Imperial silver crystal heals him will he be turned back to normal.

Seth went to Athene's body. He lifted her to her bed in the next room. She did not wake. He sat on the bed, content on gazing at her beautiful body. Seth was her friend and teacher. She had forsaken love to become the best warrior she could. "What are these new feelings" he thought. He leaned down and kissed her cheeks. She woke up feeling the warmth of his lips on hers. She gave in

"I love you and nothing can change that. No matter what form I'm in. I will always do so, from now 'till the end of time" Seth said. He got up and lifted Saname up. "Let's go take that darn cat back," Athene said to get her mind on other things. She pulled the box off the cat. "Easy, Luna. We won't hurt you, we've come to take you back to Serena" Athene said. Mystic picked up the cat and grabbed onto Saname. Together, Mystic and Athene transported outside. Athene took her car keys out (she is 16) and put them in her car. Seth took the passenger seat next to her. He held Luna. Athene put her keys in to start the ignition of her new silver Mercedes Benz. "Who needs money when you have magic" Athene said as her Benz tore through the streets.

Serena left Luna with an odd feeling in her gut. "That girl was strange. She seems somewhat familiar. But she is giving out some pretty strong vibes" Serena thought. "Oh well, this is the kind of thing to discuss over food" Serena thought as she raced up the temple steps.

Serena reached the room behind the temple steps panting and out of breath. She limped over to the meeting room where all of the scouts were waiting for her. Serena was met by angry stares from the whole gang. Darien looked somewhat disappointed at her. Serena shut her ears and pretended to listen as Rei droned on about her responsibility leader.

Rei finished and took a seat next to Amy. Serena took a seat between Lita and Darien. Lita had a plate of cookies and offered some to Serena. "Before I was interrupted by this meatball head. We all need to discuss our new enemy and scout," Rei said glaring at Serena. Serena sank lower into her chair.

Serena gathered all her courage to stand up to the hot-tempered Rei. "Rei, before you start yelling at me, you should…you should know why I'm late" Serena said staring at her own feet. "Fine meatball head. Why were you late?" Rei asked dryly. "I woke up on time as usual and ran here with Luna" Serena explained. "Where is Luna" Darien asked. "I'll get to that, hold on. Well, I was running here (not because I was late) and I tripped. This new transfer from school…I think her name was…Athene. Well, she helped me up. I talked to her for a few minutes. Luna and I were getting some weird vibes from her. Luna um…volunteered to follow her to see what she was up to. I walked here, and here I am" Serena said sitting up.

"Serena, do you think that was wise?" Amy asked. "After all she may be from the negaverse and find Luna" Artimis said. "Well I guess we should worry about that later… Rei did you get a chance to do a fire reading?" Serena asked to try to change the subject.

Athene brought her car to a screeching halt in front of temple. "Everybody out" Athene said putting the car keys in her pocket. Seth got out (carrying Luna) and opened the door for Athene. "What a gentleman" Athene teased the now crimson Seth.

Arm in arm, they climbed the many temple steps. Athene walked towards the back of the temple and reached a hall way with four sliding paper doors. She took Luna from Seth. "I hear giggling. I'm guessing they are in the last one" Seth said. Athene gathered her courage and slid open the door.

She saw five girls, a white cat, and a young man sitting around a small table. All of them were staring at her. She ignored their stares and led Seth in. Athene walked to Serena. "Um…here's your cat Serena. I guess it must of wandered off" Athene said. Luna jumped from her arms to Serena's lap.

"Thanks Athene. I guess I should introduce you to my friends. This is Lita, Mina, Amy, Rei, and Darien" Serena said. As she introduced them, they all said hi. Athene felt weird energy from all of them. The one they called Lita seemed familiar to her. Darien stared at Athene, he had a small crush on the beautiful girl (he still loved Serena). Serena noticed that and elbowed him in the gut. Seth didn't appear to notice. All of the girls were already in love with the handsome Seth (Serena, Mina, Rei, and Lita especially). Athene knew why they were staring. " Oh, I'm sorry. I do not think I introduced us. I'm Athene and this is my boyfriend Seth" Athene glared at all of the girls.

Seth nudged Saname in the ribs. "Well, I guess we'd better get going. Previous engagements" Seth said grinning. "It's been a pleasure," Athene said. "Wait we'll walk you to the bottom of the steps" Darien insisted. Athene, Seth, and the others walked down the steps.

Serena and the others drooled over the silver Benz parked there. "Is that yours?" Mina asked surprised. "Yeah, it's mine" Athene said. "I bought it for her as a gift" Seth said. Partly because it was true, he also wanted to tick off Darien. Athene took out the keys from her back pocket and unlocked the doors. She walked over to the driver's side. Seth opened the door for her. Athene got in the car. Serena, Mina, Rei and Lita were all drooling over him now. The love bug hit even Amy. Seth walked over to the passenger's side (with a wink to the girls) and got in.

"Bye!" Serena, Darien, Mina, Lita, Amy and Rei yelled as the Benz disappeared over the hill. "Well that was strange," Artimis said as they returned to their room. "Why do you say that?" Mina asked. "How did they know where to return Luna?" Artimis finished saying. "Luna, what happened earlier?" Darien asked.

"That girl is some sort of witch. She cast a spell that froze me when she heard me behind her. She some how transported us to her apartment and talked about some spell for searching. I also saw some strange creature there. I know that Seth is connected with this somehow," Luna said without stopping. They all gave Luna a confused look.

"Why is it ok for you to be flirting with those tramps and not for me to even look at another guy?" Athene asked enraged. "I wasn't flirting…oh shit," Seth said. "Youma" Athene said as she transported both of them to a near by sidewalk. They got there just in time to see the new Mercedes Benz crash into the Youma. The youma was a huge spider, about the size of a one-story house. Athene started to cry. "You will pay for that you bastard" Athene whispered.

A green cyclone formed around Athene. Her clothes had disappeared. That part didn't matter since her body was made of pure green light. Her fuku was the first to appear. It was the same basic design but it was all black, had an emerald stone in the shape of a heart, everything had silver and emerald green trimmings. Black gloves appeared on her hands, also trimmed with silver and emerald green. She twirled around elegantly and knee-high black boots appeared on her legs, trimmed. Green earring formed on her ears. Her lips were painted light pink. A black choker appeared on her neck with a silver heart Last of all her tiara formed. It was silver with an emerald in the center of it; mysterious symbols were embedded on it. Her curls hung down around her hair. The cyclone evaporated and Athene finished and struck a pose.

Seth had already changed into Mystic Knight. "I've always wanted to know how does he do that," Sailor Emerald thought. He wore a green and silver tuxedo with a cape and mask. He looked much like Tuxedo mask but he didn't have a top hat on. Mystic Knight had a quiver of arrows slung on his back. He held a bow. All of the arrows had symbols similar to those of Sailor Emerald's tiara. "Let's go Mystic Knight" Sailor Emerald said after kissing him. "It's been so long since I've seen you like this" she said as they ran to meet the youma.

What they saw wasn't so good. A dozen people hung in cocoons on a giant web between the buildings. A spider youma sat in the center of it, not noticing the two new arrivals. Sailor Emerald pulled out her trident from the pocket of space. "Look's like I'm gonna need this" she whispered. "Mystic you free those people while I lead the youma away from here" Emerald said calmly. Mystic nodded and ran off. Emerald ran directly in front of the youma. "Hey spider" Emerald yelled waving her arms. This got its attention. Emerald did a spell that cut the spider from the net. It fell with a large -thump-.

The spider-youma directed all of its 100 red eyes to Emerald. "This wasn't the best of my ideas," Emerald thought as she ran. Sailor Emerald gave one quick glance behind her. The spider was surprisingly fast and would over take her in only a few moments. It spit out goopy strands of silk from its mouth. By this time, Emerald ran as far as the temple. She was so tired; she didn't have the strength to dodge the sticky thread. It wrapped around her like a cocoon. She fell on her but. She tried to get free but she couldn't.

"Hold it right there nega-trash" said a voice from nowhere. The spider youma (who was now directly on top of Sailor Emerald) and Sailor Emerald looked around. She found its source first. There were six figures on the sidewalk. The one who spoke was Sailor Moon, Sailor Emerald remembered her. There were four other unknown scouts and a man dressed like Mystic Knight but in a black tuxedo. Emerald knew somehow that they were all Senshi from Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, the Moon and Earth. Sailor Moon stepped forward. "You negaverse people are all alike, you always enjoy preying on the innocent and coming where your not wanted. We will not let you. I'm Sailor Moon and on behalf of the moon I shall punish you" Sailor Moon said posing.

The spider shot thread from it's mouth, missing all of them. They were going to attack and didn't appear to notice the trapped Sailor scout under the youma. "Don't you attack me" she screamed. "So the spider has a voice" Sailor Jupiter said. "No you twits I'm under this thing" Sailor Emerald screamed. They all gasped. Tuxedo Mask ran lightning fast and got her out, just as the youma was about to bite down.

He set her down. "Stay here Miss so you don't get hurt" Tuxedo mask said. "Oh great you can't see my fuku under this gunk" she thought. Tuxedo Mask ran to help free the trapped Sailor Moon. Sailor Emerald still had her trident. She slowly turned the sharp points to her body and cut them off with all her strength. Sailor Emerald threw the cocoon over to Tuxedo Mask. "Some hero you are" Sailor Emerald yelled. The scouts stared at her through unsuccessful attacks.

She hurled a large 60-foot wave of water/electricity over to the youma. The youma was only set back some and was shaking the water off as if mocking Emerald. The scouts looked over at Sailor Emerald in awe. She gasped. "Why won't you die!" she yelled. She ran towards the other sailor scouts. "Ok now how to destroy you" Sailor Emerald thought franticly.

A bright arrow hit the spider in one eye. The youma moaned in pain. Sailor Emerald turned around she saw Mystic Knight on a short building across the street. He jumped down and landed right in front of Sailor Moon. He said to her and the others, "We'll take it from here." "We will not leave here. It's our sworn duty to protect Earth," said Tuxedo Mask who jumped in front of Sailor Moon defensively. "Whatever, but I do not suggest you be here when the serious stuff starts" Mystic Knight said icily.

"Mystic Knight, stop talking. I can't hold him in my freeze spell for long" Sailor Emerald said weakly. "How can we help?" Sailor Venus asked "Mystic hold it for me!" Emerald relinquished the power of the spell to Mystic Knight. Only then did Sailor Emerald turn to face the others. "Sailor Mercury, I…I need your help. You are supposed to be the most intelligent of the scouts. Tell me this thing's weakness" she pleaded.

"You need our help now. I thought you had everything under control" Mars said angrily. "I don't believe I was asking you anything, " Emerald said coldly. Mercury pulled out her mini computer. "It's neck," she yelled. Mystic lost control of spell. The spider shot thread at all of them. All of them were hit except for Sailor Venus and Mystic Knight. She freed Sailor Emerald and he freed Sailor Mars. The thread pelted them. They were dodging. Sailor Emerald had to distract them. She had a wild idea.

With the others free, Emerald gathered her nerves and motioned Mystic to cover her. She ran straight the youma, trident raised. She used her trident as a pole and vaulted onto the neck of the thing. Emerald plunged her trident at the base of the spider youma's neck. She hung on to the thing for dear life as it bucked like a bronco to get her off. "Finish it Sailor Scouts" Sailor Emerald yelled weakly. "But..." Sailor Moon was interrupted by Sailor Emerald yelling, "Do it!" Sailor Moon hesitated but started to attack. Mystic gave Sailor Emerald a pleading look.

They all walked solemnly to the spot where the youma and scout were destroyed. "She was willing to sacrifice herself for us." "I don't even know who she really was." "I was being mean to her." all of the scouts cried. Mystic Knight said nothing and cried inwardly. Tuxedo Mask placed a red rose on the ground. "Why are you all crying" a weak voice said from behind them. They all turned around and saw Sailor Emerald. Her fuku was charred and torn in many places and blood was trickling slowly down her face. She limped towards Mystic Knight and dropped in dead faint in his arms.

"How…How could she survive that?" Sailor Jupiter said surprisingly. Mystic Knight gathered Sailor Emerald in one arm. "I guess Mages are lucky. Until next time Sailor Scouts" Mystic Knight said. He formed the ancient symbols with his hands and mind of teleportation. "Wait, tell us who you really are" Sailor Moon said just as they both disappeared in a burst of green light.

Mystic Knight reappeared in Athene's room. He laid Sailor Emerald down on her bed. Mystic Knight touched her cheek and she de-transformed, unable to sustain her scout form any longer. Mystic Knight de-transformed also. He drew a circle around the bed with chalk and did a large spell, one of healing. In wizardry, to heal someone /something, one had to fully experience their pain. He teleported a silver dagger into his open hand and slashed his arm. He winced. He held his arm over one of her more serious wounds, across her arm she had a foot long deep wound. Seth let one drop of his blood fall onto it. He started the spell

He was in Emerald's body for a brief moment and felt as everybody's attacks hit him one after another until he could stand it no longer and almost accepted death. He found the untapped power within him and transported away. He broke out of his trance, sweating, weak and out of breath. Athene healed, the spell was complete.

She fluttered her eyes open. Mystic was standing beside her. She sat up next to him and put her head on his chest. He said nothing, for what he wanted to say needed no words. She drew away and looked into his eyes. "Thank you" she said. "You don't need to thank me. I would have given my life up for you with out a moment's hesitation" he said stroking her hair. "Thank you for giving letting me love you" she pulled Seth into a soul-searing kiss until he pulled away. "You need rest." Seth drew the covers over him.

Sailor Moon was baffled as they disappeared. "Do you think we'll see them again?" she asked no one in particular. Tuxedo Mask placed his hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure of it," he said. They all de-transformed when they reached the temple. Luna and Artimis were awaiting their arrival. All of them told Luna and Artimis what had happened. "During the Silver Millennium they helped us in that final battle. Nobody knew what Mystic Knight really looked like but he was the head of the special security force on the Moon Kingdom. I guess only Queen Serenity knew how he looked like" Artimis said.

"Who was Sailor Emerald?" Lita asked. "Well… she was a lesser princess of some planet. She was adopted. I do not know which planet or who her parents are or how she even became a scout. I don't even know her name. I doubt this information has been useful at all," Luna said sitting on Serena's lap. "Mystic Knight mentioned something about them being mages" Darien said.

"During the Silver Millennium there existed wizards, sorcerers, witch and the most strongest of all, mages. Some were bad and some were good. Many people stereotyped against them. They were hated by most. There was a witch named Aroon. She possessed The Book of Enchantments. When she died, the book disappeared. Every single person with magical abilities went to find it. In doing so, they killed their competition. So by the end of the Silver Millennium there was only two unknown mages and such left. The book was never found. When Beryle came she sought that book and to conquer our kingdom" Luna said.

"Why was that book so important?" Mina asked. "That book contained every single spell made. The forgotten ones and the deadliest ones" Artimis explained. "But only a true mage can use them, right? I only know of one, that Athene girl. I guess you can count Sailor Emerald and Mystic Knight" Amy and Luna said sharing info. "Oh my, it's getting late. It is almost 7:00. Your mom is going to kill you if you miss dinner again," Luna yelled. "Don't worry I'll give you a lift" Darien said. All of them started to make their own excuses to leave.

Serena and Luna hopped in passenger side of Darien's new Honda. Serena waved to the girls until Darien drove away. They drove for only about two minutes when Darien stopped the car suddenly. Serena jerked forward. "Darien, what are you doing?" Serena asked. "Look over there" he said pointing to a spot nearby. Serena followed his gaze. What she saw frightened her.

A silver car was completely wrecked and barely distinguishable. What ever crashed into it was obviously not there any more. "Isn't that Athene's Mercedes," she said surprised. Darien pulled the car over. He hopped out and ran over to the wreckage. Serena and Luna followed. Darien strained to open the door but he couldn't. He wiped some silk spider thread from the window. He couldn't see anybody inside. Darien turned grimly to his girlfriend.

"I think, that the negaverse youma got to them before we destroyed it," he said. He pulled a rose from thin air and placed it on the car. Serena pulled him into a hug and led him back to the car. "Didn't you say that Athene was some sort of witch. I guess this pretty much proves it" Serena said to the black cat that had been silent until about now. "She probably did something to make them vanish before they crashed" Luna said hopping on Serena's lap in the car.

Ayja stepped out of the shadows and into her master's throne room. She bowed before the large black throne that was set in the shadows. She got up. "Master, I have failed you". "That's the one thing you do well" it's hand came out of the shadows. It held a silver scepter that pointed at Ayja; its tip glowed with dark energy it gathered. "Master, you have all of the reason to do away with me but I have something very important to tell you" she said trying to buy time.

"Go on" an evil female voice said. "We have reason to believe that The Book of Enchantments is in Tokyo. With that, it should be easier for you to conquer this planet and have revenge on those Sailor Scouts". "Very well then. Find me the book and I'll spare you your life. If you keep this up you'll eventually make commander. Fail and I will torture you, believe me. I can make them last for weeks" said the cynical voice. It drew the scepter down. "Now be gone!" it yelled.

Athene woke up to the sound of a wailing alarm clock. She was half sleep. Athene looked at the clock. "Oh no! It's already 7:40. I'm going to be late!" Athene screamed. She hurriedly stepped into the shower. The water was freezing. She jumped out and threw on a red vest top, denim skirt and some red flip-flops. Athene attempted eat her food while brushing her hair. Then she brushed her teeth and got her backpack. She looked at her clock. It was 7:43. She felt guilty for using a spell to speed her self up for that long.

Athene looked around for Seth. She couldn't find him and remembered that he changed back to Mystic. She found him asleep on her sofa. She kissed his furry head and ran out of the door. She hopped into her new green land cruiser; she got it magically yesterday. Athene sped down the road travelling at 60 m.p.h. She parked her car in the student parking lot and ran to her homeroom. She reached it panting and out of breath. Athene checked her watch. It was 8:00. Athene walked into the room and took her seat in the back of the room, behind Serena.

"Athene wake up" someone said shaking her. Athene woke up and saw Serena. She looked around the room and saw everybody leaving. "You fell asleep during homeroom. You have History with me First period right?" Serena asked. Athene nodded. It went on like this for just about the whole morning until Lunch.

Athene woke up again in Math class. Ms. Haruna made her stay after class and yelled at her about falling asleep. Athene walked out of that Math class felling wide-awake. Serena waited for her after class out side of the room. "What happened Serena? Why aren't you having lunch?" Athene asked. "I thought I'd ask you to join us outside. School is out, teacher meeting. Lita made enough food for us all" Serena said happily. "In that case, let's run," Athene said smiling.

Athene raced Serena to the stairs. Serena was still huffing and puffing minutes after Athene got there. Athene had to help Serena down the steps. They reached the others just as Lita unveiled the food. Rei, Mina and Lita looked at Serena as if she was crazy for bringing Athene with her. "Hi guys. This is Athene. You remember her. She's going to have lunch with us" Serena said as she sat down. Athene said hello to everybody and sat down next to Serena and Lita. They were all skittish with her. Athene talked with Amy between mouthfuls of Lita's rice about computers. She won all of them over somewhat by talking with them about what they liked. Although they were still trying to find out who she was, Lita armed wrestled with Athene. Lita won but was surprisingly sore after.

Athene felt somebody trying to break the mental barriers she had set to prevent people from prying in her mind. She started to sweat and her head pounded like a drum. No body really seemed to pay any attention. "Who ever it is, they are powerful," she thought. Athene turned around so that the they wouldn't see her. She raised her hands in the air in front of her. She began to draw different magical symbols in the air as she pictured them. Athene finished feeling a little better. She made a firewall in her mind. "Whoever was messing with me must be close and if they continue this they should be either almost dead or just have a major migraine. She turned as she shacked out of her trance. All of the other had gathered around Rei.

The others waited around her until an ambulance came. Athene volunteered to take the others while Mina traveled up front. They arrived there at top speed. Athene was trying to act as innocent as possible. She stayed in the waiting room with the others. Athene stared at them while they paced. Lita punched something. "I'm so sorry but I have to go" Athene said apologetically to the others. "I'll go see Rei first." Athene walked into the hospital room. She was approached by one of the nurses. "Alright but only five minutes. And just because she's your sister." Athene lied to the nurse. Rei was still alive according to the monitor.

Athene leaned against her bed. The girl's eyes fluttered open. "What did you do to me" she said weakly. "That's the same question I should be asking you. I do not like people tampering up there. I guess I should say I'm sorry…but I won't." "H-How" she stuttered. "You and me, we have much in common. Besides any dolt could learn to block their minds." "I've had years of training and I can't even do that." "Well what can I give you that you won't go and blab any of this to your friends." "Nothing. You have an aura it might not be evil but how am I supposed to know." "You must want something. I will teach you to do the mind blocking. I can't read minds," Athene said to Rei's surprised expression.

Rei sat and thought for awhile. "All right but you will deeply regret it if I am hurt. I have some powerful friends." Athene took awhile to ponder the meaning of her words. Athene placed her hand on Rei's shoulder gently. "You can trust me." Rei didn't look re assured. Athene made some signals with her hand. They disappeared instantly.

Rei appeared on a mountain near a waterfall. Everything looked serene. Animals even were drinking from a stream. "Well, don't you love the view" Athene said feeding a deer. "I have a way with animals. Not magic, I assure you" Athene said as Rei backed away slowly. "Teach me it now. I don't want to stay here. My friends and everyone will notice." "Don't worry I made a simulacrum. That's an image of you kind of like a puppet." Rei look frightened that someone could do that. "I'm not that good at making `em yet so you'll just be asleep. The doctor's `ell be fooled." Rei gave her a look that meant, go on with it.

"Ok, I'm not good at teaching so sit and pay attention. I have little patience and won't repeat anything again. Besides, my soaps are on." Rei sat on the newly conjured desk. There was a small chalkboard in front of her. "What do I do first witch." "First of all don't call me a witch, you'll hurt my tender feelins'. Second, you have to clear your mind of everything. You should be able to do that since you tried to force your self in my mind Lady Pry." Rei, despite herself, gave Athene a wry smile. Athene drew seven strange symbols on the board. "Now you have to memorize them." Rei quickly studied each symbol.

"Now all you have to do is clear your mind, imagine each symbol in this order while you write them in the air with your index and middle finger roughly a foot in front of you." "That's it? It seems so easy. It must have been easy to learn this stuff then." Athene shot an arrogant glance at her temporary pupil. "First of all spells, even simple ones drain our magical energy. Only people whom posses it may try. It took me years of practice to do all of this and not tire at all. You have to pass an ordeal before you are even taught stuff like this. I never want to go through one of those again! If I would of known how much trouble magic is, I wouldn't have bothered with it. True, it has saved my life more then once. I am one of the best of the magic folk around today. I have lots to learn unfortunately. Power breeds power so I will always look for new things to try out." Athene sighed. "That's it, I can try it now?" " Um… yeah. However, make sure never to switch the signs about. These particular marks should not cause much trouble but…who knows. There are an infinite number of symbols. No one knows them all, well only the Creator. I know almost a good 10% of `em. Ok now enough about me. Go on."

Athene made the board and chair vanish. Rei fell on her rump and glared at her. Rei hesitated. "Go on. While I'm still young." I can do this, Rei thought. Rei cleared her mind as she had to do many times to read the fire. She put her right hand in front of her. She drew the first mark that looked similar to an upside down mountain. She was pouring seat already. She didn't notice when Athene placed a hand on her shoulder. Cool energy flowed from her fingertips. Rei had the strength to finish. When she finished her head was throbbing but that eventually subsided. "So, that's the end of my debt. If you tell one soul, you would have wished you died as a child." "Why, why do any of this for me?" Rei asked as she and Athene went for a short walk. "I made a mistake earlier and I had to correct it. Besides, if I didn't, my teacher/ boyfriend would kill me!" Rei had to laugh that such a powerful girl still needed a teacher.

"Once I send you back, this affects our friendship somewhat. Just so you can trust me, I'll give you a token," Athene said as she did a spell. She held out her hand. A dagger materialized into it. Rei didn't know what she was going to do with it so she backed up cautiously. Athene was muttering a few words under her breath. Her teacher did the spell for her awhile ago. Athene went silent as she sliced a shallow cut on her left index finger. One drop of blood came out. It floated in front of Rei as it slowly turned silver. Rei held out her hand as it landed. Athene finished and sat down because she used more then half of her magic reserve. Athene managed a small spell and a gold chain appeared around the solid blood in Rei's hand. The girl stared at it blankly. "Go on, put it on." Rei slowly put it around her neck. The whole thing flared a red color then returned back to normal.

"W-what was that?" Rei asked now scared as a mouse. "It was a promise. Well it's much more complicated then that. Only when you are in dire need of help, just take the tiny drop off the chain, blow on it three times (only three!) and toss it over your left shoulder. I should appear in front of you. This spell can only be used once. I'm glad because I'll be yanked from wherever I am and reappear there." "Ok, that all good but, why did the thing glow?" Rei asked examining Athene's face. She was sweating. "It reacted to something inside you I guess. I don't really know why. We all aren't perfect," Athene said as she got up. "Don't you use magic like a, like a crutch?" "I hardly use my magic. Only when I'm learning something knew from my teacher. And then just to try it out. I guess I've used it a handful of other times for my pleasure. Magic isn't really practical. If I would use it to open a window five feet away, I would be more tired then if I were to walk and actually do it. I am used to it now. Ok, now that this is all done you have to leave. I have to go and rest if I'm to watch any t.v." Athene said.

To her surprise, Rei started laughing. "I am human you know." Athene raised her hands and began the transport spell. Rei said a quick thank you before she vanished. "I'm nearly tapped dry. Only enough magic for one spell. Back to my apartment for me" Athene thought. Moments later she vanished.

Rei woke up in her hospital bed sweating. "Only a dream" she thought. She looked around her. "Miss Hino, you are being released" said a blond blue eyed nurse. She knew it was Mina's mother. Rei got up slowly and walked towards the dressing rooms with all of her belongings in hand. She passed her friends and she waved hello. Rei locked the door after her. She stripped off all of her clothes and stood before a mirror. Rei gasped as she saw the necklace from her dream. She quickly threw her school uniform back on. The floor in the room was so slippery. Rei muttered curses in Japanese as she nearly slipped while opening the door.

The others found her sweating and looking very nervous a couple of minutes later. "What's wrong Rei? You look like you've just seen a ghost," Lita asked patting her shoulder sympathetically. "I…I thought, well never mind," she said remembering her promise. The others walked Rei to sign out. "Some one is watching me," Rei thought as she put the pen down. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a dark figure hastily run out. Rei pulled out of Lita's grasp and ran out of the door. Nobody was out on the street. Mina put a hand on her fore head. "I don't think your ok. Maybe you shouldn't have left so early" a concerned Mina asked. "I'm fine" Rei muttered. Serena called for a taxi. Amy, Serena, Lita, Mina and Rei squeezed into the taxi. "Rei, maybe it'll be a good idea for you to take a little vacation from monsters and school." Amy patted her shoulder.

She sat on her black arm chair thinking. The only light in the room came from a small branch of candles, which dwindled down. She had been thinking for over two hours, the Master would not be pleased. Ayja snapped her fingers. In front of her, a table appeared with a map of Tokyo. She studied it intently. A red flashing light appeared on a small river. "Great, somebody just used magic, all the easier for me. They probably are the possessors of that wretched book. I will go there to personally destroy them, even if they don't have it, less competition for me. I will rule the negaverse and this planet" Ayja gave on evil laugh as she disappeared.

Athene hopped on her couch with a loud plop. Mystic walked over to her. He sniffed her fingers and sneezed. "Magic. Why?" he said as he jumped next to her. "I almost killed a girl today. I gave her a promise. So tired…" Mystic and Athene drifted off to sleep.

They both woke up with a start and stared at each other. "Somebody is tampering with very strong magic," they both said in unison. Athene checked her clock; it was 8:00 at night. Athene only recovered a third of her power in that nap. Athene rushed into her bedroom and pulled out a map. "We should use practical magic. I don't have enough energy for more then that" Athene placed the map on the floor. Sitting Indian style, she raised an emerald on a silver chain above it. The chain swayed for minutes as Athene chanted. Finally, it dropped from her hands. The emerald part landed on a river. She drew a circle around it with her nail.

The map disappeared and they were looking down on a bridge, overlooking a river. Athene snapped her fingers, breaking her spell. " It's our duty as human mages to check this out. I just hope it's ok" Mystic walked with Athene to her room. Mystic turned as she changed out of her sweat-soaked clothes and into a white dress with white sandals. She fumbled with the ties at the back of her dress. Strong hands did the work for her. She laid her head on his chest and soaked it with tears. He sighed as they teleported to the car. "I'll drive, you need to rest." She threw him the keys and hopped in next to him. The car sped away. They had a quiet drive.

Athene's vision blurred. She blinked several times. She blinked several times. In front of her, a battle raged. On one end were people cloaked in white, the other in black. They all raced for an object in the middle. Athene ran to it also, unnoticed. She reached it first. Someone that looked like her was holding the Book of Enchantments. A person cloaked in black stabbed her. Blood oozed from her stomach wound. The person who stabbed her laughed maliciously and drew back the hood. The female face was familiar. It snatched the book from the body. The gold/white book turned black. Blood poured from nowhere onto the book. It opened the book. "Noooo!" she screamed as she woke. Athene woke up and found herself back in the car. "What happened? Mystic asked gently. Athene relayed the vision.

"That might have been a vision of things to come. On the other hand, it could have been a nightmare. I would sacrifice my own life before I would let anything happen to you, love." Athene managed a smile as they pulled over. Athene walked out of the car and let Seth hug her. She pulled and surveyed the area. The bridge they were on was deserted. Murky waters churned violently below them. There was a loud boom from nearby. Athene and Seth ran to the source.
